Jim Beaver Attempts 2nd Victory
In One Month

Parker, AZ - Going in to this weekends Best in the Desert Tonopah 300, Parker, Arizona's Jim Beaver will be attempting to take his 2nd victory within a months time. Just a few short weeks ago, the 21 year old took the SCORE Henderson's Terrible 250, which has taken the title "The Richest Desert Race in the United States." Besting the abundant Class 8 field by some 18 minutes over 2nd place in Henderson, Jim and the PMC Racing team will be one of the favorites to take this weekend's Tonopah 300.

"The past few races the truck has been working awesome," explained Jim. "We have won two of the last four races we entered, and I think Tonopah will be no different. Everything has finally clicked, we have found the right set up, and we are fast."

Jim Beaver, who grew up around off road racing, will make the Tonopah 300 his final race of the 2002 season. He will be preparing for the debut of his #15 Ford Lightning Trophy Truck next season. The Terrible's 250 was slated to be the teams last race of the season, but after the victory there, Jim and PMC Racing decided to add one more to the schedule.

"After our win a couple weeks ago, we decided to do the Tonopah race. The truck worked so well and was in such great shape, I don't think we can afford not to. Hopefully we have a day that goes as good as it did in Henderson. If we do, I think we will find ourselves in the winner's circle once again."

Heading into Saturday, PMC Racing would like to thank all of the sponsors who have made this season possible as well as everyone who has come on board for next season: Goodyear Tires, Tube Service, RiverInfo.com, King Shocks, RLH Communications, MSD Ignition, Parker Motor Co., Penn Sign, and Autozone.
