"PMC
Racing & Jim Beaver
"Going into this race we already had a handicap," said Beaver. "Our new truck won't be completed until later this year, so we are running our old modified Class 8 for points until it is finished. We still knew there was a very good chance to place well, so we really just wanted to finish both days with no major problems and see where we stood." PMC Racing followed the plan almost perfectly. Facing off against 12 of the worlds best off road racers, PMC Racing left professional motorsports opening weekend with a 6th place finish and some very valuable points towards the year end Trophy Truck Championship that will be decided at the Baja 1000 in November. "We are very happy with our results," stated team co-owner Dan Beaver. "With the handicap of an older truck that we had, and this being both PMC Racing and Jim's first Trophy Truck event, we will take a 6th place anytime."
PMC Racing would like to take this time to thank all of their current sponsors: Goodyear Tires, Ford Trucks, King Shocks, MSD Ignition, Tube Service, RiverInfo.com, RLH Communications, Parker Motor Co., Penn Sign, Geoffrey's Fine Jewelry, Kofa Inn, La Paz Pest, and EZ Lube.
