PMC Racing & Jim Beaver
Ready To Attack Their Home Course

Parker, AZ - Professional motorsports is a bit different than say the NBA or the NFL. Unlike the players on the Phoenix Suns or the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, professional race car drivers rarely have what most other sports consider a home field advantage. If any professional race car driver were ever to have a home field advantage though, it would definitely have to be Jim Beaver going into the opening round of Best in the Desert Racing Series held February 6th-9th in Parker, Arizona. As Jim takes the green flag on February 8th to head off on a 425-mile journey through the scenic Arizona desert, he will be doing so only some 500 yards from the front door of his home. To make matters worse for his competitors, the team Jim drives for, PMC Racing, is also based out of the small town on the Colorado River. The Parker based team also boasts more Class 8 victories in the last 5 years than any other team in the event, and regularly holds their test sessions on the same course they will be competing on come February 8th.

"I am very excited about this race," said Jim. "I really feel that we have a chance to do very well. There are only two people that know this course better than me, and that is my dad (Dan Beaver), and Manny (Esquerra). I am also lucky enough to have them both on my side."

With the home field advantage already in his favor going in to this weekend, the young Beaver will also become the youngest driver in history to ever compete in the Best in the Desert Trick Truck division. Earlier this year, at SCORE's Laughlin Desert Challenge, he made history as the 2nd youngest American to ever compete in SCORE's Trophy Truck class, being only superceded by Jimmie Johnson of NASCAR.

As PMC Racing and Jim Beaver both look for victory in Best in the Desert's premier Trick Truck division, they would like to thank the following sponsors: Goodyear Tires, Ford Trucks, King Shocks, MSD Ignition, Tube Service Co., RiverInfo.com, RLH Communications, Parker Motor Co., Penn Sign, Geoffrey's Fine Jewelry, Kofa Inn, La Paz Pest, and EZ Lube. PMC Racing can be contacted through Dan at (800) 266-2291 and more information on Jim can always be found at JimmyBeaver.com.
