Jim Beaver to Race Vegas to Reno

Parker, AZ - As the start of the Vegas to Reno desert race roars into action this coming Friday, Jim Beaver has secured a ride to drive 250 miles of the 500 mile event that has become known as "The Longest Desert Race in the United States." The deal, which has come together just days before the event, places Beaver in the driver's seat of the Mongo Racing Ford F-150.

"I am excited about the opportunity to drive in the race," said Beaver. "The Vegas to Reno race is very prestigious, and is Best in the Desert's marquee event. Mongo Racing has become one of the leading teams in the stock full class, and we share a lot of the same sponsors, so I think it will be good for both of us."

Following the Vegas to Reno race, Jim Beaver will return to action in the SCORE Trophy Truck Series next month at the SCORE Henderson Terrible 250 July 9-12. He will be looking to defend his SCORE Henderson Terrible 250 title that he won at the event last year racing in Class 8, as well as continue his fight for the SCORE Trophy Truck Championship and the SCORE Rookie of the Year.
