"Jim Beaver Set to Defend Henderson Title"

Parker, AZ - Heading into this weekend's SCORE Henderson Terrible 250, Jim Beaver will be looking to repeat last seasons victory at the event in his #15 PMC Racing/Goodyear/Ford. Winning the world's richest desert race last season in the class 8 division marked Beaver's first ever SCORE victory, while this year he will be looking to defend his title in the premier Trophy Truck ranks. Sitting 6th in the points standings heading into the event, Beaver finds himself in a heated battle, sitting only 10 points out of third place for the Trophy Truck Championship.

"This race is really going to be a turning point for a lot of the teams at the top of the standings," commented Beaver. "Without a good finish at this race it will be almost impossible for a top three at the end of the year, and I think our Ford F-150 will be right there at the end on Saturday."

Part of the Triple Crown of Southern Nevada, the SCORE Henderson Terrible 250 has already become known as one of the most extreme races on the planet. Last season saw racecourse temperatures climb above 120 degrees, and although forecasts are predicting them to be some 15 degrees cooler this year, Jim Beaver heads into this race well prepared for the worst.

"Last season I trained hard for this race," said Beaver. "I think because of the way I trained, I was able to win. I lost 15 pounds over the course of the race, and was one of the only drivers to run without a backup driver. I have trained even harder for the race this time around, and am looking for nothing less than a win this year."

As Jim Beaver continues his quest for the SCORE Rookie of the Year Award, as well as his fight for the Trophy Truck Points Championship, he would like to thank all of the sponsors of the #15 Trophy Truck: Goodyear Tires, Ford Trucks, King Shocks, MSD Ignition, Tube Service Co., RiverInfo.com, RLH Communications, Motorcraft/Parts Mart, Kofa Inn, Penn Sign Co., and Parker Motor Co.
