"Jim Beaver Announces Vegas to Reno Plans"

Parker, AZ -- In a deal put together just hours before the crucial draw for starting positions, Jim Beaver has announced his entry into Best in the Desert's stock full division for the Vegas to Reno event. Beaver, whose only other previous start this season came at the Best in the Desert Parker 425, became the youngest driver ever to finish on the podium in Best in the Desert's Trick Truck division at the event. For the Vegas to Reno event, the longest off-road race in the United States, Beaver will take a significant step down from the 800 horsepower Trick Trucks he is use to racing.

"I had the opportunity to drive the Vegas to Reno race last season in the stock full class, so it is nothing new to me," commented Beaver. "I want to be known as a driver that can step into any vehicle at any time and be competitive. There are tons of driver's who say they can do it, but there are very few who actually prove it. I want to be one who does."

The truck Jim Beaver will be racing is one very familiar to desert racing fans. The truck, currently owned by Reno Racing of North Hollywood, has been one of the most successful trucks in the history of the stock full class. Formerly driven by off-road legend Manny Esquerra, Beaver will be driving the truck once again to draw interest in the vehicle, which has been for sale for the past year.

"The truck is still owned by Reno Racing, and is still very much for sale," explained Beaver. "The only difference is that the truck is currently being prepped out of our PMC Racing shop here in Parker, and PMC Racing will be running logistics and pit support for the event."

As PMC Racing and Jim Beaver prepare for the longest race in the United States, they enjoy partnerships with Goodyear Tires, Ford Trucks, MSD Ignition, King Shocks, Tube Service Company, RLH Communications, RiverInfo.com, Sparco USA, Motorcraft/Parts Mart, Parker Motor Company, Penn Sign Company, and Reno Metal Products.
